Lemon trees in Villa Borghese

I have always wanted a lemon tree in my backyard. Lemons are nature's way of bottling up sunshine.

We came across this plant a few years ago during our visit to Rome . It had never crossed my mind that I could grow lemons in a pot. I imagined that I would need a plot of land with temperate climes. However even with that , the frigid climes of Chicago dumped a ton of snow over my green thumbs.

Having a lemon tree became one of those things that I dreamt about. Fast forward to the present day and my dream of lemon trees just might come true.

The sunny climes of Texas seem to be just right for this venture. With any luck, next year when life give me lemons, I will make Lemonade!!
